Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) has pet relief areas. Travellers will find three indoor relief areas after security and outdoor spaces before security, spread across Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. All areas are accessible to travelling pets and service animals. The following guide details all pet relief areas within Las Vegas airports, detailing what facilities they have and any rules you need to be aware of whilst travelling.
Pet Relief Area Locations at LAS Airport
LAS offers two types of pet relief areas to make travelling with pets more convenient. These designated spaces allow pets to take a break and relieve themselves, both indoors and outdoors. Here’s a closer look at each of them.
Indoor Pet Relief Areas (Post-Security)

Travellers staying airside have dedicated indoor rooms in both terminals, two in Terminal 1 and one in Terminal 3.

Pet Relief Areas at Flamingo and Fontainebleau Las Vegas Airport
If you’re flying into LAS with your dog, you will find pet relief areas at the airport. However, once you leave the airport, the pet policies of hotels along the Las Vegas Strip may vary. Some information about these areas is shared here.
-
Flamingo Las Vegas Pet Relief Area
Flamingo is part of the Caesars PetStay programme that allows guests to bring up to 2 pets of 50lbs or under into a pet-friendly room. There will be a charge to have your pet with you while you stay (currently around 100 per night), plus a 100 fully refundable deposit. There is a grassed area for your pets to do their business, with bowls, a mat, poop bags, and treats provided. You will need to use a crate for your dog when you leave them, and you cannot book pet rooms online. Cats are not accepted.
-
Fontainebleau Las Vegas Pet Relief Area
There are no pet relief areas at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The resort does not allow any pets except service animals. If you are coming with a service animal, it would be best to plan and use public outdoor areas to take your animal to relieve itself.
Rules and Tips for Flying with a Pet at LAS Airport
-
Carriers are required outside relief areas: Animals must be kept inside an approved carrier at the gate, when boarding the aircraft, and whilst onboard. Pets can only leave their carrier in the LAS pet relief area.
-
Take your pet out at the TSA checkpoint: Your empty carrier will go through the X-ray scanner, and your dog can go through the metal detector.
-
Check the airline policies: There are different fees for pets, carrier size restrictions, and health requirements.
-
Keep your pet on a leash: This includes in all relief areas. Only trained service animals are recognised as service animals in the aircraft cabin as per U.S. Department of Transportation guidelines. Pets will travel according to the individual policies of each airline.
Conclusion
Getting around Las Vegas with your pet is easy. There are pet relief areas around the terminal, inside LAS. After security, there are areas near the C Gates, Gate D50, and Gate E11. Outside both terminals, there are outdoor grass areas. If you're heading to the Strip, the Flamingo has a PetStay facility where you can have a grassy area to let your pet go; Fontainebleau has no pets. Make sure you check your airline's policies on pets, have your pet carrier to hand for TSA, and allow a few extra minutes to let your dog get some exercise and go to the toilet comfortably.
